Canon Shares my Image on Instagram

Canon shares my image ( @chrisvanloanphoto ) of Death Valley on Instagram for 40,000 likes.  Thanks Canon! I’ve had several brands like, or re-share my images in social media and I haven’t posted about it, but to me this was a big deal to be featured among other amazing images. I’ve always shot canon bodies and lenses, with the majority of my work coming from a 5D MKIII. Check it out on @canonusa IG page here. I started shooting photography with point and shoot cameras when I was a teenager. Starting with film to basic digital. Years later I’d buy a canon 50D and a kit lens to start documenting the beings of guiding with my company Bay Are Expeditions and out memories with clients. After shooting for some time I moved up to a 5D MK2 to get video and better image quality and purchased a 24-75mm F/2.8 variable zoom. From there I moved to prime lenses marveling at the image quality and wide apertures available in the Canon line up.
A 5D MK III served me with the line up of primes form 24-200 over the beginning of the 5D MK3 release to the introduction of the 5D MK4. At time I have been tempted to move to Nikon for better ISO performance and dynamic range. I always seem to be shooting in poor lighting or the dark of night. Sony and Nikon have had Canon beat for years in these categories. However I haven’t wanted to move away from canon because despite these deficiencies, I feel I have established a look with Canon glass that I’m afraid to move away from.
